Simply excellent work: the flow is excellent, the imagery is excellent, the mood is excellent. You should really be proud of yourself. My only suggestion is that the line "With my absence" seems a little awkward to me. Otherwise, absolutely wonderful. I'd love to have you review my writing sometime.
