I love how it shows the truth of reality of sorrow and depression. We see something hopeful but in the end it is a cruel joke,mocking us. I really enjoyed this, seeing as I have Chronic Depression. Thanks for portraying this truthfully and beautifully.

oh my! it grabs at the heart. i usually try to avoid responding to content, but... i've struggled with depression my whole life, and i like to offer something bright once in a while (sort of to prove that i can, i think) : it could be seen less as a cruel joke that the lights aren't stars, and more as a beautiful thing that, as horrid as people can be, their presence can create beauty too.
anyway...i'm beginning to doubt that that was a good idea.
this is certainly my favorite of your pieces so far, it has a great deal of personality, and a certain maturity that is hard to quantify or explain.

starts out a lil happy then twists, i like that, and the descriptions (as well as the statements in parantheses (sp?) ) are great!
