*cheers* You're right, you know. Schools are just prisons where they stick us until we're deemed old enough to go to college and have our own lives. There's no point, except making sure we can function at at least a fifth-grade level and keeping us from running wild or being a liability to our parents. They might pretend it's for the purpose of higher education, or actually believe it, but unless you're taking an elective in your chosen career path school's doing nothing for you in the real world.
