Moving speech, we Muslims believe in Jesus but we believe he was a mortal (like you said) but also a prophet of God. We don't believe in orginal Sin. We believe Adam and Eve were both guilty, sent to earth, and repented and God and God being the Best, forgave them. Why can't God just forgive? Why did he (or his son, I don't know) have to "die" and according to some, spend three days in Hell. Why would God need to do that? Didn't he make Hell? Did God come here, then, to commit suicide in some bizarre show of "love"?
Forgive me if I'm being disrespectful I am just telling you frankly how I feel in the inside-for it confuses me a lot. I'm just being open to you because I don't know the answers to these questions. People whom I've asked say some crap about 'mysteries'. Do you know-? Please email me.

Is not a Christian but I think this is a strong statement. I do believe in Jesus Christ and I do believe what He went through. will think about it more.

He is immortal, but died for us.
For sin.
and I am grateful.

he mustve felt that his Father had abandonded him but because he was human but God at the same time, he knew why it was necessary.
Yay, first chapter of John is good.

How awesome a gift. It never occurs to us, in this cruel, unfeeling generation to feel anything. We are told to know, not to feel. But Christ gave us our greatest gift not only by knowing what had to happen, but feeling it as we would.
Truly a masterful piece of work. Hats off!

By feeling it all and not crying out in pain and asking for the Crucifixion to stop, that proves that He is both mortal (in the flesh) and immortal (in the spirit). The whole point of Jesus is that He was fully man and fully God at the same time. If He were only human, He would have submitted to sin. Check out the first chapter of John. God explains it a lot better than I ever could.

That is so awsome. I love it really. I get what you're trying to tell us here. It's like people just think, well yeah Jesus died for us, but like God told him he had to. He wanted us to go to heaven. And he wanted us to so bad he did endure all that pain for us. If he really was immortal, it wouldn't have worked. Jesus came into this earth as a normal human being, and lived life without sin. That is what was so special about him, because not a single human being has walked this earth and not had sin. We come into this earth with sin all over us. He was God's human child, and that's what people forget.
