hahaHA! Oh this is good! Made me laugh! Hmm... interesting... generally if you look at pieces under the category of parody, you don't take them seriously because they're really not meant to be taken seriously... if they were, they wouldn't be parodies. But apparently a few people either have reading deficiencies or very short-term memories.

We can't just wipe them off the map because there are a lot of innocent people living there who will DIE if they try and escape. Please, please don't say your'e serious.

Ok, no sarcasm detected there. I understand what point you are making, but (lol) I think you are overreacting. The war in Iraq would not wipe it off the map. The US is being selective in its targets because they know the will have to rebuild whatever they destroy. US is not going to create America 2 because President Bush is smart enough to realize the outrage it would cause if he tried to completely westernize Iraq.

Despite the fact I disagree, I enjoyed this essay.

I´m so relieved to see this is a parody, because if this were serious, I would be very, very worried about you, people. Actually, I´m a litlle worried because it seems some of the americans really think this way (not you, I believe).

I still don´t understand the reasons why your country wants to attack a bunch of miserable people with stones for weapons whose only mistake is to be too weak to not throw a dictator of their country. I believe there are more important matters, like Korea or China, who are maybe more dangerous for you than Iraq. Well, I´ll stop wondering about all that. After all, I just wanted to say your essay certainly made me think. That is good for an essay, even if I´m not of your opinion (if you are serious).

Congratulations!

Peace!

Bye!

lol! americans dont actually think like this do they?

Lol! This is hilarious. Your patraiotism and views are very funny.

Of course, if your are serious, you are not the subtle comedian I though, but are instead a dangerous zealot. If I didn't see them as jokes, every paragraph would be disturbing and wrong in so many ways.

You are either very smart or very stupid. You are either making up a fantasy world where everything is crazily simple, or you are thinking of a place that you really think is a good idea, a place where racial repression and a 21st century holocaust are the way to make Amercia even more powerful.

You could be either my friend, or a deadly enemy.

Right on-go you! America über Alles! *snerk* What's funny is that if Bush read this he'd probably be saying "hey. good idea!"
2/27/2003 c1 3eTRINITYs11
well, i think this would be a great idea! but im kind of concerned about the other countries we would conquer. i mean, isn't america one of the few countries that lets everyone be who they want to be? (except criminals, terrorists, drug dealer, etc.) here is a good suggestion, instead of America 2, how about we persuade all other countries to become states? ^_^ then we all could be one big happy country! still the general idea! please don't take any of this as a flame, or even just critisism, i just want to let you know that this kind of defeats one of the major purposes of america. but still, i think this was a hilarious parody, and i know that that you didn't mean this as a reality. i think you should write more essays like this!

Bitingly funny; let's hope that none of the Republican Party read this, or they'll decide you've got the right idea! ;-)

Now, I have rethought a bit on the matter of the essay. We all remark that muslim do eat cow, etc. However, seen within the context of the satire it is circumscribed in, I wonder wether that may be intentional, an attempt to subtely criticise the level of ignorance of the common ammerican public.

If I'm not wrong, then the satire is even more subtle and refined than it may seem at first read.

Peace,

Sharazade.

Some of you may have read my review below.

Please disregard my foolish and childish remarks. They were completely inappropriate, and definately out of line.

These are the words of someone who didn't even take the time to read the category (parody).

I allowed my temper to get the better of me, acted without due thought, and for that I apologize.

I hope you will not think less of me because of this.

haha.you think it's funny, eh? Yes, I realize this is under parody, but I still don't think this is a subject to be taken lightly. Conquering Iraq like that would be eradication of America, or at least eradication of America's honor and reputation. I enjoy sarcasm, but mocking America's conflict with Iraq is taking it a step too far.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and treat this as I would a parody.

For one thing- not all Muslims are vegetarian. They just don't eat pork, because in the days of the Koran there was a disease which was spread by the pig. Hindus are the vegetarians who prefer to abstain from eating beef.

But Mickey and the middle east? If this is a parody I have to tip off my hat to you.

Thumbs up for naming the suchlike of Disney and McDonalds as the American Institutions they are. Very good overall, but you made a major error- although you could quite possible blame it on being American and therefore typically uninformed, eh? Hindis are the ones who don't eat meat. Better make corrections and update! Nice, otherwise.

Good text, good ideas. I have always found it amusing that even the stupidiest of the ideas could be wordshaped into a convincing reasoning. That's why I am a sophist, I guess.

To those that thought she should be joking. Well, at some edge I had thought she might be serious too. She's not, however.

To those that think she's speaking seriously, and specially those that agree. I have nothing to say. Untermenner deserve only my despise.

And to Loganberry, who talked about ''the "let us gloriously build more tractors" Stalinist regimes!'', I'll say that communism is not Stalinism. Actually, Stalinism is just another kind of fascism, just like Hitler's nazism, Saddam's regime or Bush's neoliberalism. "Let us gloriously build more tractors" (I would remove the gloriously. If you want, say "fairly" instead.) means we'll turn our efforts into the goal that everyone has enough to eat, a place to live, health care and education. That can only be accomplished but through common work. And I think it is prefferable to the "Let us gloriously build more bombs (and use them against innocent civilians)" of Mr. Bush, Mr. Blair or our little big Chaplin stunt man, Mr. "Ansar".

"From everyone all he can,

to everyone all he needs."

Peace,

Sharazade.

By the way, it's hindis who respect cows as holy. Muslim don't eat pork because it is forbidden by the Coram (of course, the historical reason is that porks in the desert are extremely likely to contract and transmit some disease - trichinosis I think - so popular wisdom made it into a divine law).
