much better- i loved it
action scenes are a must, and this is one of the better ones ive ever seen in a good fic.

Well, well. If you ask me, your fav character I think is Sovay. I dunno. I like her I guess, which is why I presume you do. But anyway, enough of that and on with the review.
I like the way you write your character. You built them very well. I think this is a great story although the plot is rather abstract at the moment. Love the way you describe the scene, it's really easy for me to visualise. Great work and I look forward to the next chapter.

Hehheheh. That first bit about the Emporer and the Empress was halarious! I don't remember any other humor in this story, so it came as a complete and total surprise, making it even funnier. lol
Just to make sure, I didn't mean any offense by my last review- it was supposed to be a positive one. But maybe it didn't exactly sound that way. lol
Anyway, I really liked this chapter. And with the two Thanes at the end, plotting to be emporer, with such a contrast of the emporer himself, that was great.
Notes? hehheh. I can't even take notes to save a failing grade in school. sorry, that ain't the solution for me ;)

It's Jesus Christ Superstar! ^_^ I like the idea of savior, especially since he doesn't seem to be too much of a deus ex machina-type, even if he is cast in a main role... but now you really have me wondering whether Jiranor is abusing the power that comes with presence... after all, so many people with presence in our world seem to do the same.
So, Jiranor is one of the Chosen Children. Does that merit his label as Redeemer? Or is he special even within the ranks of the Children? And (this prophecy bit is really confusing me...) who are the Quicksilver pair? Must be two people, one of them likely Ashiri... perhaps the other is Saphra, or maybe the two people with names of the same letter (ie, Saphra and Sovay) are the ones to make up that pair. Or maybe I'm only confusing myself. Well, surely my way-off-the-mark speculations can only inspire more future updates! ^_^
And... looking back over the last chapter, some sort of action or conspiracy is going to be set into action, now that Jiranor has met the Emperor... uh-oh... It's Thane North's doing, isn't it? He's the one who has one of the children, by his own admission... he must be the one who kidnapped Ashiri, then. Unless there's another of the chosen Children held captive already? Ach, just confusing myself! Let this be testament for how confused I'm sure we all are. Don't just leave me to brainstorm, it's too disastrous. I'm sure you'll have the next chapter up soon, though!
