Alright, sorry my last review wasn't very in depth. First off, let me state that the idea of the Windriders is extremely cool. For some reason they remind me of Boba Fett! That's a good thing though.
Your description of characters, particulary the many-chinned administrator at the Academy, and Sovay, is excellent. Sovay is one of the coolest characters I have seen in a long time. Your description of locations is excellent, the two places that stood out most in my mind were the Windrider hanger and the Diamondback.
As for any things that could be better - I don't see much of anything wrong with the story. Your grammer is excellent and the whole thing is very well written.

Wow (again). Plot's moving fast.. I like that. And I love the descriptions of the Academy that you've given, as well as the entire world of a Windrider... It's so effortless, like (forgive the comparison) Harry Potter and Hogwarts... and so believable! I love your humor as well... the naive guy (can't remember his name) and the multi-chinned man were both hilarious, especially the naive guy.. he reminded me of me... lol ^_^ Great! Looking forward to reading more!

WOW! Awesome! I love it already! ^_^ This chapter alone has totally blown me away (forgiving the play on words, of course)... Action-packed, good stuff! Don't worry about the ship terms, I don't know anything about them, either... lol Tavus sounds like a cool character, I like egomaniacs for some reason... they add a lot of unpredictability, and they're not all that common, so I guess I have some semblance of a good reason to be happily anticipating more of Tavus soon. ^_^ Saph makes for a good main, too, I like people who don't hesitate to turn daggers on their opponents to win. I guess I have weird taste. ^_^ Off to the next chap for me! Good job! (And you told me *I* was good? Must have been a joke or flattery of some sort...Look at yourself! ^_^) Ciao!
