This is the 300th review! Wow! Congratulations, you must be doing _something_ right... but it's not a surprise, you deserve every one... this new chapter only more fervently proves that! ^_^
Well, you did say it'd be funny. There are so many little bits in here that made me giggle that I'm not even gonna _attempt_ to list all of them. You must have been in stitches while writing...
Sovay'd be an excellent governor. At the very least, lucrative. *evil grin* she's pure genius! For some reason, she seemed less flat than she had in the other chapters, as well. Jir and Lelly's continually-souring relationship is amusing, too. The poor guy just seems to get into all kinds of trouble, doesn't he? *smiles wickedly*
Thanks entirely too much for your continuing recommendations of HOH... I really appreciate it, no, wait... I can't think of a better word... but appreciate's too mannerly and superficial. Suffice to say a more sincere gratitude couldn't be felt... I'd place money on the fact that reviewing this story in the first place probably gave me most of the reviews I've garnered. i love Sovay and Saphra's characters ^^. you can really get to understand them and relate as well :).
...i still want to draw Saph as fan art for you...but...i'm not sure how the Flightwings look. like...how do they fold...and what's the gear exactly...and how do you pump the wings [are there handles or straps or what]? hee. :3

My, she's a smart one isn't she, that Saphra... I wonder if she has some sort of connection to Sovay. No, scratch that. I'm SURE she has a connection to Sovay. I wonder what it is... this chapter was humorous, to say the least, and it already has my head spinning with questions concerning Academy life. It seems Windriders are pretty well respected in the Academy, that I know, amongst other pursuits you alluded to. But one thing bothers me. What on earth was the point of the Final Trial? Saphra would never have caught up with Tavus if he'd just kept flying to reach the orb, so basically, it seems like there may be a plothole in there and the only reason it exists was because you were thinking of a third trial. But, the fight was good nonetheless. I just want to know if it was necessary. Certainly Tavus didn't realize what the third trial was? He was in the lead. But I'm rambling now.

P.S.- Is there a chance that you could explain to me some nautical terms? I may need them at some point during my own story, and I may even have to go back and revise some scenes on a ship.

Well, there are 24 more chapters awaiting me, so I suppose I will find this out shortly, now won't I? Excellent start; you seem to have a knack for them. And judging from the popularity of this story, the middle must not be too bad either. I'm not sure it's completed, but if it is, then the ending must also be quite something. Well, I've got some reading ahead of me.

I am speechless. I really am. This is just incredible. I had chills and shivers all over as I read this (in a good way, in case you're wondering...) You are an amazing writer.
Good grief, I'm ranting aren't I? Ergh, I can't think of wot to say. How helpful am I being? Sorry about that. I just love this. The little snippets of poems etc - are they old English or your own variation? - just lifted this piece up. You are so talented. I can't be jealous, I can just sit here in awe and make you think I'm a raving lunatic by going on and on.
Must stop blathering.
That's better. Luckily, there are heaps of chapters to go, so I'll have something decent to read for a change. Keep writing. Please don't stop, it would be a minor tragedy.

Saph really seems to be regressing in the course of this story, eh? She's getting giddier than Raum. Thinking about pine needles? Or maybe she's always goofy like that when she's suddenly awakened in the middle of the night by an ambush of big, friendly Yiddish golems. I dunno.
What's up with Jiranor? Are we gonna find out in the next chapter? When the heck is Tollin going to revolt already? I wanna know! Come on, write more! ^_^
