that was beautiful! it was more of a story - which i liked. :D it's amazing how you brought such an infamous love story to life in this piece. my heart was really breaking for king shah. the first stanza did a great job of snaring my attention (again). it was the 'just as ruthless' part. ;) also, the 'builds her heaven,' line *slaps hand over heart* that was so unspeakably gorgeous. and the last stanza was incomprably beautiful as well. 'sign of enless devotion' really got me. *sigh* you're a genius. really, you are. all i want to do right now is read the rest of your stuff, but latin beckons *sob*. will be back soon! KUDOS!

great haiku! i think it sounds ggod anyways. that is a really interesting story. i never knew the whole story to that but i think that's really cool and the romantic part is amazing. cool haiku tho, thankys for the reviews! i'm glad u like mine. keep up the greatness!

Although I've only seen pictures from this beautiful building, I can imagine a little how utterly impressive it's got to get to stand in front of a building build with the love a ruthless ruler put his whole heart into... I've never been there, but can you feel this strong love when you visit this building?

Very nice. The Shah was very cruel. Don't know if this is correct, I think he blinded the architect so that he could never design anything more spectacular than the Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is one of the wonders, just wondering if you are going to do the rest of the wonders! :)

i have to admit that the way each stanza flows together is a little off, but otherwise, pretty well written with excellent imagry, nicely done

Great Job! A history lesson and a haiku in one. I like it! I didn't know that that was the reason the Taj Mahal was built. I think I'd like to see it one day.
