aw! loved it! once again, totally felt like i was where the stranded person was, be it on murky road, dark sea (grat descriptions, by the way), or mountains. and the helicopter line . . . hehehe. it made a smile instantaneously appear on my face. many of your poems seem to do that, i'm finding . . . the 'don't you ever forget that!' as the closing line was a great touch. it made me smile AGAIN! :P great piece!
