if you really want my two cents, then i think that you should do whatever feels right. i don't want to read anything half-heartedly written, while thinking of another. if that's the way it's supposed to be, then i'd just leave the rest fo the story to my imagination. but i sincerely hope that as a writer, you would persevere to finish what you've started.

i can't see artimis pulling this petty stuff, rather, i can't see her failing in it. but i have to say this is a lot of fun :)
oh, have you ever read the poet AE Stallings? she's a classicist who both translates ancient poetry and writes her own, a lot of it is twists on mythology, i think you'd like her work. (and might give you more ideas!)
