This is a great poem! I know how that feels. My bestfriend and I ended our 14 year friendship when she said a racist comment to me. Fourteen years of struggle. (1992-2006) Again, great poem! It is a simply told poem but profound. But one thing is sure: If truly friends you are already together although you may feel alone - otherwise where do the thoughts go?

oh my.. :( I don't know you, and you probably do not know me, but I have also gone through losing a friend. I know how it feels, and your poem just hits home. It is so sad to want to do something but you can't.

nice poem...i just messed things up with someone i regarded as a really good friend...funny how after all these months, she found me to be imperfect in so many aspects...she now hangs out with other people and occasionally sends me the death glare; it was initially really hard, yet i dare say i'm glad it happened, it opened my eyes and showed me who she truly was- an immature teen who's certainly confused and needs time to *find* herself...i can only pray that the situation will improve as time goes by. look on the bright side of things, you may not get your bestie back, but look at the difference the friendship has made to your life, what it has taught you and how it has enriched you as a person. feel free to email me should you be interested in corresponding! take care...
