How profound. How insanely profound. Isn't it interesting that your second reviewer didn't know what to think of the little red box, that your third thought it the human heart? The little red box is everything and nothing; It is all that we want it to be. Perhaps it is not the death of a little red box at all, but instead the beginning of two little red half-boxes. :)

I think saying 'And tore it IN two' would make the last line flow a little easier. Other than that, the little red box is an intriguing metaphor (as I saw it) for our own beating cage called the heart. Keep writing!
