Very True on this poem. Sadly, I smoke. I plan to quit though. Sorry about your Aunt Dying.

well, thats one way to keep the cars' moving. Life is just that way and it introduces so many ugly things to us but we just have to go on and try to stop it. There are more bad horrible things in the world other then smoking

Very nice. I like it, it's kind of like the Truth commercials. I think they do a good job. THe truth hurts, and you made it hurt. Great poem.

hi!
me again. been awhile since i've explored fictionpress so i thought i'd take a gander at what new has been posted or missed my glance last time. ;)
as always, huge fan of your work. Especially this one. considering sending it to my mom since she smokes and complains that i badger her too much about quitting. my philosophy is that if i don't, who will? And if no one will, who will they have left to badger?
but being familiar with my writing, you probably already know my fascination with death.
anywho, gotta go do some more reviews. later.
later,
luv bells

Great poem. I totally agree. I used to smoke...but I quit ater I realized how utterly stupid it was. Hopefully others will read your poem and realize the same thing. Awesome work! :o)

I really, really like your poem...it's so powerful, yet so simple. You seem to be really good at poems, too. Good job! I can't wait to read more of your other stories, too!

Wow, somewhere between a killer poem and the best anti-smoking campaign i've ever heard. I like how you mixed the facts with pieces of personal information, that added power to your message because the reader knows you believe in what you're saying. two thumbs up :o)

Ok you just made me cry. My great-aunt, my aunt, my great-grandmother, my uncle and my cousin all died of lung cancer. They were all smokers their entire lives. It really makes me wonder if they had read this would they have kept on smoking until they died? Great poem, keep writing.

(It's Carolyn) This is really good. It's made me think. I can easily relate to it, too. I hope you accomplish your goal of getting it published. It's good enough.
