Wow...I had no idea!
This is a totally new conecpt to me and you've presented it really clearly and intelligently. The list of references was really great to, because it gives you that much more credibility.
Although head/body transplants are disgusting, cruel and rather pointless, it is undoubtedly a fascinating proposition.
