Yay! New story. And so far it's just as good if not better than Phoenix Horizon. Hopefully, if you decide to write more, it will be up to the same standard.
I like the bit about the science of possession. It makes sense. So many people try to put stuff like that in stories and have no idea what they're talking about. Your theory actually sounds feasible!
