maybe if people would blame the person WITH THE GUN instead of JUST THE GUN ITSELF, then maybe things would be better.
You see, like CNCFREAK said, guns are supposed to PROTECT people, but when dumbasses get guns and kill people for no real reason, they fuck it up for the people who are using guns to PROTECT THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES!
And about little kids getting guns:MAYBE THE PARENTS SHOULD'VE BEEN A LITTLE MORE GODDAMN RESPONSIBLE THAN TO LEAVE IT WHERE A KID COULD GET IT.
That isn't anybody's fault except the parents'. DON'T fuck over all the families who ARE responsible enough to keep guns away from their children, and who use those guns to protect their families with.

What happens when someone who has a gun breaks into your house and threatens you? Lets say he is a Drug addict also.
You Give him all your valuables.
Then instead of leaveing lets say he shoots you. I bet he would be the one lying on the floor right now if you had that nice Smith and Wesson.
You say gun control is good cause it prevents acedents?
Well lets ban all Motor Vehicals they kill more ppl then guns...
And how old are these children?
If there younger then 6 they shouldnt be able to Operate it. if they are older then 6 its obviusly the parents fault for not teaching these kids not to play with them.

For the record...everyone should not be held responsible for the sins of one. You take away guns, criminals will only find something else to use. It's like drugs, only the law abiding citizens pay any attention to the law.

Actually, from my British point of view this is probably the most shocking part of the USA's obsession with guns. My support for our handgun ban has less to do with the criminal deaths than with your country's enormous accidental gun death rate. If the gun isn't there, it *can't* kill anyone.
(So the right to bear arms is in the Amendments? Doesn't make it sacrosanct; so was Prohibition.)

Surely you can't believe that. Your poem, while good in a technical sense, is a shallow and preachy tale of woe. Devoid of facts it merely tries to illicite an emotion from the reader while putting forth a political agenda. Besides statistics prove that guns save more lives then they kill every year.

Yes, my thoughts exactly! Man, don't you just hate kids these days, and I'm trying not to sound like an old man, since I'm 13, but I hate kids that have chospy mouthes, think they're big to play with guns, end up killing people, sometimes by accident, sometimes the gun overwhelmes them, if it's an accident... well, if you will play with fire. Sometimes they end up blowing their own damned hand off. Anyway, lol, sorry for ranting on. Excellent poem, fantastic job.

Sad, sad poem; yet very well written. I'm British and beleive the only way to reduce gun crimes is to ban guns, but hey, whatever floats your boat.
