Ah, the refined art of, as my drawing teacher once told me, "Finding out what it really feels like." As intelligent beings, we often analyze events to death until they lose their true identity. What you have done, on the other hand, is found the raw stuff of what an event really is. You should emphasize this talent! Don't forget how great it is. You have the wonderful capability of not letting too much perception interfere, a superhuman task for most, but one you pull off with ease and grace. You have to write more!
