Sad though, that you didn't really show the loss of his brothers, or something along those lines. After all, wouldn't they be the first thing in his mind after escaping that storm?

what happened to abe's brothers? Surely they're not dead because abe didn't even mourn them! I think Abe should probably show more guilt because technically, it was his fault they got captured.

Great story, brilliantly writing with one logical yet surprising turn after another. Beautiful rich characters, it was truly wonderful, all loose ends covered moderately.
