Woah! I love this. I am currently revising a novel wrote that is basically similar thematically to this, so this is pretty much up my alley. I haven't even read the main story and I'm in love with what you wrote here. Great, great stuff man.

Nicely written, overall. You may want to intersperse the beginning historical account with Malphas's individual story, and perhaps find some common theme between the two, for example if the coming of a savior is forcing the vampires to redefine themselves.

I like how this begins. I haven't read much about Dhamphir type vampires in a while. Only a few fics even touch on that but anyway lots of interesting characters. Keep up the good work, it's always nice to see more vampire fics.

This story sent shivers down my spine, but delicious shivers mind you. This is a very interesting story, and one that can only get more interesting with time. I am eager to see what Malphas does and how he reacts to the further killings of the humans. I like the struggle that goes on within him, and the way you set him apart, with his hair, from the others. Very well written, and I look forwawrd to more.
Wishes,
~Elfie~

Good story. Where did you come up with "dhampir"? The "dh" is very odd.
I also don't really see an actual plot in this story thus far, are there to be more chapters? Best of luck to you.

Wow. What a world you've created here. I'm interested, very interested to see what you do with this. Keep it up!

Amazing stuff indeed. I tend to hesitate when it comes to reading the vast majority of stuff on FictionPress, though I promised myself to this story because it's the only one that Search comes up with for 'dhamphir'. However, the first paragraph hooked me and I tore through it thrice through. Quite impressive, so please continue.

Oh, wow. ^_^ Hiya, Strider! I missed your writings and decided to dive into another one of your works - picked the top of the list.

And I LIKE it. ^_~ Totally creepy, but not in a bad way. (I'm so fluffy it's sickening, I know, but that's why I read other people's writing. LOL)

"The Christians had their Christ; they now had a parallel." Good line. I think the bizarre-d-ness of it is what hooked me into this first chapter. (great, now I've resorted to making up words! go, me)

Malphas is . . . just a bundle of contradictions, isn't he? Dhamphir is a complex word, so it fits. I was shocked at the end there . . . dunno, was expecting him to eat, just eat, not BITE. Dummy me. hehe Does he sleep at all, or is he not subject to depravation insanity like I know I would be? ^_~

ja ne!

Not really in to vampire stories that much myself, but then have only read Anne Rice and a bit of Brian Lumley, and assorted short stories. Therefore not sure about the mythology of the half-human / half vampire stuff (it's not your invention?), but this start was good enough bait for me. Great potential, so I have added to my favourite stories, and I'll have ago at some more of your stories when I get a chance.
