Hey girl! You're right, it is a little short, but soemtimes that's ok, as long as you say something worthwhile.
Ok here's what I think:
First, I'm not sure how old you are, but you seem kind of young, which is great! You have to keep writing, for the rest of your life if possible. It's good for the sanity.
Second, my only criticism is that these two kids seem to get awefully familiar very quickly. They are strangers when they meet, and immediately they seem to "know" each other. You might want to develop their relationship with more conversation and interaction.
I hope you update soon! I am anxious to see how your story progresses! I moved around a lot as a kid, so I can relate to Destinay a little. Good job!
