I'm relating to a lot of your stuff, that's a good sign! And I see myself in a lot of these lines...the question that lingers is whether or not we choose to not reach our full potential, in my case it almost seems like I just don't bother being stuck in the routine...unfortunately.

i checked out your page after i read your review of my poem - evrything i'm reading is really good! this one definately deserves a review: you have a great way with words. if you think you'll never be quoted, you're wrong. :o)

If one chooses to stay below, how much self-pity should they indulge in, however? IF it was a conscious decision, they should have had a good reason.

Of course, thinking Freudian, I'm probably only saying this because that kind of failure scares me.

I have no clue whether laurels are trees or bushes. I think they're trees, though. If they have a Grove of Daphne with laurels, one would expect it to be a tree...

Very, very nice. Sad, seems to hold a sense of hopelessness, of lack of self-worth that so many feel in their lifetime. The rhyming was beautifully done.
