Seriously I didn't expect the kind of response that I got from this essay, though it is quite a topic for some people I guess. Thank you for writing a responce to my essay. And to think this essay was written because I had an assignment due in grade ten english class.

I wish I could meet you to give you a standing ovation. This was brilliant. You have got to E-mail me, or at the very least, check out my essay on the topic at hand. I have to agree with the point that games have probably stopped people from killing others, because on a smaller scale, I use games as stress releif so i dont kick the crap out of my tormentors at school. You are brilliant, and I loved your essay.

I play violent video games quite frequently, though my parents issue dire warnings about keeping my 8 and 7 year old sisters out of the room. I've never gone out and killed anybody as a result.

It isn't generally pointed out that people who attempt to recreate the nasty bits out of R-rated movies almost invariably turn out to have underlying mental health problems, previously diagnosed or not, which are more often to blame. It's nice to see that SOMEBODY realises this.

Well said. Maybe the game can give a person that little push over the edge, but there's got to be a lot of messed up feelings before that happens. I play 'em all the time, some pretty violent ones sometimes, and I'm still 100% people-killing free.

If that makes sense.:)
