I'm at a loss for words. You certainly have that facet of humanity down to a T. I think there's a lot of truth in this, and that you chose the perfect words to express it. Very nice.

Very nice short piece. I especially like the part where you use double meaning ("is the happiness...like sunshine in July, being blocked by our clouded minds?")
As I understand it, it seems to mean that people are too jaded to have any real emotions and try to keep to themselves so as not to stick out or be different.
I love the choice of words to portray this, and I hope you continue to write with as meaning as this.
