actually this poem is not really about the patriot act...although i do hate that peice of crap...its about communism and how its an economic system that causes totalitarianism...i'm tired of taxes taking money away when i'm trying to pay for college..the government wants us to be fucking morons so they can have little pawns on a chess board

I agree with this poem entirely. Although this poem seems more general, I had a feeling it was inspired by anger against the Patriot Act. Was I right?

I don't agree with your idea here, but the writing is amazing.

Bit repetitive, don't you think?

Funny. I'm "liberal" and I think the same things about "conservatives".

Hmm. I understand what you're saying about how people strongly against your cause can be upsetting, but it is important to have an open mind, which is why I'm liberal on many issues myself. Sometimes other sides that you couldn't possibly agree with force you to see something you didn't before.

For instance, I had to write a paper about an author whom I strongly disagreed with. Many of my classmates were angered by the assignment, but it helped us form our own opinions more strongly, because we learned how to defend them.

That's what you may get out of knowing someone with a different perspective. You'll know exactly why you support your causes, and will be able to support who you are.

You're a great writer:)
