Whoah this is certainly the best story that I have read on this sight. It made me think which is a rarity for fiction. Eerily scary too. Amazing.

I enjoyed your well-written story and agree with the moral as well.
However, I find myself all too easily complacent with "peacemonger female president ruining the U.S." cliche, and I feel somewhat ashamed.
Keep up the good work though. When you had the French fighter bomb the Capitol building, my heart was pained (j/k).

Well, I'm not sure wether the point of this story was to tell America to be less militant, or that we need to be militant to protect ourselves from these kinds of tradgeties. It was very good and very detailed, and the situation seemed plausable. Either way, good story, I like the medaphors too.

Oh my gosh! Very powerful! At first I was a little mad, but the end is very moving. It is verys sad people griping about military and war and stuff w/o thinking about the people who die to protect them.AWesome job!

You know...as much as I disagree with you in general, and as much as I dislike the implications that disarmament is bad, the International Community is extremely interfering and would invade us if it could, etc., I can't deny that this story is VERY well-written. It's got this mood of weary despair and retrospect near the end that I'd trade a kidney to be able to reproduce. Very good piece.

I was asked to read this by a friend, even though it's not at all the sort of thing I usually read, and I must say I am impressed. Since I don't read this genre normally I don't have much to weigh it against.
I liked the fact that the President was a woman. It's a nice change to see women in places of power, even if it is in stories. The President's plan definitely sounded good, though I don't know if it could really work.. but it is just a story, so that's not the issue.
Your writing style is concise and easy to read, which made this very enjoyable. Wonderful job overall.

interesting...i think that your style works much better for fiction than it does in any sort of opinionated non-fiction essays. of course, many parts of the plot, characters, etc., are contrary to my ideals (as you know)...but it's kind of like reading tom clancy...even though it's very political reading and i don't agree with the views of the author, the hypothetical situation is pretty interesting. i enjoyed reading it.

Writing was good. It flowed nicely, explained itself, etc.
Plot was a little extreme, but I guess that was your intent the entire time. And understandably so. Not too shabby, especially with a Rafale ending the whining, crying liberals.
