I'm well aware of the dangers, but... I applaud you. =) I used to be against it until I developed feelings for this one guy. we played World of Warcraft together and knew each other for nearly a year I think, and we always flirted a bit but nothing really big happened. Then we traded MSN names, and boom... now I'm with him and although I'm unhappy because he's so far away, I'm happy because he knows how to make me smile..

It's a win-lose thing... It's wonderful, yet so painful at the same time.

But guess what? I've known him a long time before we started "going out", and I know he's not some 40 year old guy thanks to webcams. He's really awesome =)

Erm, yeah, so i think my point is... I can relate O.o

Well, I can't honestly say I've tried it but it doesn't seem dangerous unless you don't tell anybody what you're doing or meet somewhere there aren't many people. Carry a rape alarm, get somebody to drop you off at the rendezvous point and wait until he/she arrises and you'll be fine.

where does the physical contact come in? i cannot picture having a boyfriend and never being able to touch him. the thought makes me shiver.

People aren't against it beacuse it's "loser-ish", they're against it because it's dangerous. I'm happy for all the people you know who got hooked up online, but it's not worth the risk of being raped, murdered, etc. It DOES happen.

Hi! I've never gone online to find someone, but i'm happy that you and your family have found people! Good way to put your point across!

Cya =)
