To echo the previous reviewer, I also noted similarities to Brave New World and 1984, both excellent books. I assume this was where you got the inspiration for this story?
It's quite an excellent piece, very well written. It does seem a bit short; I would have liked to see it stretch into a larger story much like the two mentioned above, but this is a stand-out short story. Very nicely done.

This has the potential to be abigger story, but as a glimpse it works very well to whet the palette if you decide to pursue this any further. Well-written and shades of George Orwell in presentation and reason.
