when a person talks, and the sentence continues, (IE "She's lying to you," Zeta said sarcastically) then you use a comma, when it stops, (IE "I like pie."
"So do I!")
You use a period because the sentence is completely stopping. Just a note. You also have a lot of grammatical errors and typos in your story. If you re-wrote this I suppose you should have paid better attention to grammar.

Right after Melissa says "You have been here for over a year and yet you have not figured how not to get one kid injured at least once a day" - This picture popped into my head of some kids sitting in a circle with my old gym teacher standing at the center and saying "Okay, kids, today we're going to meditate." - and then one kid just faints. It made me laugh.
I have an odd imagination. And an awkward sense of humor.
By the way, what Melissa said was a big run-on sentence. Just thought I'd point that out.
Overall, I like this story though. It's different from anything I've read on FictionPress so far. Good work! Anyway, I'll be reading.

Chris is probably my favorite person ever. lol. He's really funny, and I want a teacher like him... maybe. Poor Brock, I just knew something like that was going to happen. I hope you haven't given up on this story, it's really good. :D
