Hmm... I read "The Alchemist" and I agree with you on some parts; like the dialogue between Fatima and Santiago was a bit weak but the book itself wasn't too repetitious for me at least. I'm glad how you ended your essay; and you made it seem like you've never read any book like "The Alchemist" and neither have I... because it makes you *think*. And if it does provoke that indeed; then the writer is excellent in writing.
