A little confusing, the wording, I think a little rough, but it only adds. Maybe it's confusing because the emotion is so complex, not to mention the complexities added to it by daily life. I feel you and know what you're going through about the girl. Not the same situation.

Wow. That's ... a little harsh sounding. But powerful. Is the girl (you said that girl, I don't know who) a real one? Or just one that "lives inside your head" If the former, poor you. If the latter, I call them muses, because they tend to inspire stuff.
