Cool. I actually wasn't too drawn in by the start of this - it sounded too much like a 'listen to my moral, this divine knowledge imparted from high.' But I'm glad I read it all.
The middle/ending of this piece is really powerful without being preachy (and it also helps that I fully agree with your sentiment, lol). I also love your writing there, it feels very elegant and observant, as opposed to the 'listen to my moral...' tone you started out with.
And to cut out all the crap, I love it.
