Heya, I think ur really good writer by the way. A word to the wise. Try not to use 'I' a lot. I have the same prob too and I'm trying to overcum it. I know its difficult since u are writing in first person. But try nevertheless.

I used to cox for my school rowing team (two years ago) but then quit 'cause I got too lazy. I loved the regattas but hated the training.. hehe.
Anyway, we never fell in (thank God! 'cause our river was FREEZING). But in the finals, the seat two's gate broke during the start and seat three's seat broke half-way through the race. Needless to say, the boat went everywhere and we lost the race.. it figures that the boat would screw up for the finals when it was completely fine for the semi and heats. I lost my voice by the end of the two days.
I'm getting off track.. just thought I'd review. ~d.fox
