for An Ode to Gretchen

Okay, I just read this four times and after my review I'm gonna read it again...stunning. Very nicely written though at some points I think there's one word too many which breaks the flow a bit...even with it, it's a stunningly beautiful poem. People always say it's never too late - sometimes it truly is. The moment in which the words will sound truest and most sincerely perhaps only comes by once, and then it's gone...very beautiful. I like ^_^ -Alyssa

Beautifully written, as are all of your poems. Keep up this wonderful writing. I could so see these words as song lyrics...excellent job!

I love the format of this poem, and how you add more to each line at the very end. very heartfelt... and I know exactly what you're saying in this poem... have been in that very same situation... I think the most powerful line was "I'm sorry I nevre got the chance to pour out my heart." which is what goes through MY mind every night... and regret is all I have as well, wishing I HAD poured out my heart. anyway, incredibly moving poem.

its hard when the people we love leave us, whether its by death or just by moving away, and unfortunaltly we just have to say to ourselves that what we had has changed, and all we can do is remember all the times we had, and wish that we could have said what we meant... this poem is really well written, it really captures the pain and regret of never getting to say that last goodbye

I think I'm gonna cry. *sniff sniff* I loved the ending part where you wrote the meanings of "Goodbye", "I'm sorry", "You were right" etc... Keep writing!
P.S. read my poem too. It's called "Wondrous Words" and pls tell me what u think of it.
