One word: Wow.
Even though its so short, you can really feel what's happening. ^.^

Most effective in its simplicity. Capturing a moment as they say, certainly, and doing so very well. I likes.

You've got the feeling of a mistake down perfectly. . . I know I've felt just like this a lot. But I could NEVER put it into words this well; this is fantastic.

I like how this flows and it probobally could make one awesome story if you add to it a bit more, it would make a strong ending.

O, how simply sopping with symbolism. Very brief but effective. To me, it sounds like the narrator's done a mistake and is asking for help much too late. Thus, the weight of the error is crushing him/her and trapping him/her to the "bottom of the lake" like a stone, so there if no other way to go or escape. The only thing s/he can see is up, where the rest of the world is merrily resuming. The narrator wants to talk to someone about his/her problems but his/her loved ones have abandoned him/her because of his mistakes and as a result, he has no one to talk to and is trapped in his situation.
I like it.
