Just one point, I can't say "bright dawns fade to dreary grey" very well, maybe just be a function of my speaking, though.
Other than that, I really like it, "a ballad without words" I love that type of oxymorons in poetry, it always makes me think about the meaning a little, which I love to do.
Great job. :)
