I really liked the repetition. Bitter moods are always inspirational, ironically enough. Well done, though. It really hits on the idea of "everything's pointless." Depressing, but lovely.

AH! I have found the single remotely aware person in the world! I loved the line about teenagers... you are completely correct. America is rather pathetic... thanks a lot for ruining my patriotic feelings! (no, really. thanks. ^^)The last line was really great, too. really deep, in a shallow, bitter way. But that's what makes it cool. ^^

You're right... hollywood has corrupted the nation's youth. But youi're wrong too. there's something we can do about it. we can be ourselves. not one of the preps or gothies or rebels or even rednecks. we can turn down sterotypes.

god this is so true. (this is definatly on my favs list) the repitition of "I can't help but think it's pathetic" is very powerful and then the last line, changing the word think to know added to the effect. and you're very right about many things, especially that the terrorists would have gotten more 'attention' if they'd crashed the academy awards. our world is so materialistic, its getting real depressing... but anywho, this is a great poem, i love it! keep it up!
