That is so true. The jews may have put the nail in, but God wouldn't have had to die, if we didn't sin. It's because of our sin he was crusified. (:
God bless.

Your right, Christ died for all of us so that we would be washed clean and allowed into heaven. I completely agree with you.

This is completely true, although while I agree with you, I also think that nobody killed Christ; Jesus willingly chose to die for our sins, and in doing so you could say He killed Himself. He could have chosen to give in to Satan and not die for us, but He loved us so much that He gave His life, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. And let me say, it is so so so awesome to see people being so completely open about their faith! God bless!

I agree with you Aly! It was we who killed him, but in a way we didn't kill him...he CHOSE to die for us...so if you really think about it...he set himself up for the death...its just the people that killed him at the time that were blamed...the Romans were the ones who wanted Jesus dead b/c of his religious teachings. Though it may seem...no one is to blame...you may want to blame Christ himself...but there is no one really to blame b/c Jesus let his death happen without doing anything about it.
I have thought about this fact though. The fact that all religions have something or someone that is believed in. The Romans had their gods and idols, as did the egyptions and muzlems(sorry if thats misspelled). Everyone around the world does not have the same religion so what gives Christians the right to say that our religion is the right one? Muzlems scriptures may be ancient like the bible...theirs may say that killing themselves or others will make them holy...they believe that theirs is right like Christians is right...everyone believes that their religion is right so its hard to impose on anyone. Well the Romans didn't want Jesus teaching the Christianity that he did, so they killed him, but maybe any other religious group would have if Jesus and his deciples tought in that country all the time. What I'm saying is something like you said about any race there would be blamed...any religion would be blamed, so in a way, the Romans were doing what THEY believed was right, but whats makes Christians say that their right and Muzlems are wrong? Is there such thing as a right and wrong religion?

For the record, I think you're right. We ALL killed Christ. Sure, the Jews were against him, but Christ's own followers denied him in fear that they, too, would be harmed. I don't think the movie portrayed the Jews to be the blame, though. It may seem to be, but it simply just follows what the Bible says-nothing more, nothing less.

The point is, from a religious perspective, Christ died because we sinned. If we didn't sin, he wouldn't of had to die. Yeah, its our fault, and thats the teaching of the Catholic Church.
And about the review before this by coclori:
Buddhists have done their share of bad like everyone else, the thing is that they never did it the name of Buddhism I THINK. I'm not the most well versed in East Asian history some I'm not sure if they ever staged any religious wars.

I'm an atheist so I'm afraid I don't feel particualarly guilty about Jesus dying. Surely God killed Jesus? I may be wrong here but he is supposed to be omnipotent and omnisient in the Bible. (That was a bit controversial!) Anyway, there have been people murdered for their beliefs throughout history by Jews, Muslims, Hinndus, Christians, Atheists: pretty much everybody really so a little blame on every social group! (Oh except the Buddhists actually!)

I am an atheist, so I am afraid I don't agree with the idea of Christ dying because of all of us.
Jesus was a rebel, his ideas, willingly or not, went against those of the Roman empire and Jewish judges. He had to be eliminated in order to prevent insurrection. Therefore, Jesus died because of political interests.
Finally, I believe Pilate is the one directly responsible for Jesus' death. He had the power to stop the execution, but stood by and washed his hands, letting the mob have its wish. The greatest evil in the world, is having the ability to do good, and do nothing.

I don't know what you're talking about, but I sure as Hell didn't kill Jesus. I wasn't even alive 20 years ago!
