for Bush vs sexuality

OK, so...I completely agree with you on this topic, which I am extremely fond of and would love to debate/discuss for hours on end, if only to understand what others believe and increase my knowledge of (as I say) the truth. Because the truth of the matter is that it is not disgusting, and that old G.W. Bush is a bit...overly religious in politic matters. Isn't there a reason for the separation of church and state? Umm...yes. And it is violated.

ok, I'm sorry to denote my views (sort of) over a review, but as I said, I readily discuss this topic, whether people listen or not.

Feel free to PM me! lol...I'm getting a bit bored over here!

Good work. Sorry but i don't think Bush deserves ANY credit. He's just all the dirty words I can think of. Prejudices aside, your viewpoints had me thinking: is Bush actually as 'religiously righteous' as he claim to be anyway? I don't think so. Well done once again.

Ask yourself this important question: is marriage a right or a privelage? You'll find alot of your answers once you realize how my country deals with gay marriage. Each state has its own ability to legistlate the privelages it affords to each citizen-to that end, marriage is one of them. It is not a right...it is a privelage just like a driver's license.

I agree. Very convincing. Bush is a moron.

A little brief, but has potential to be a decent persusasive piece.
Curtis: The only people interested in what the Bible says are Christians. Find a non-religious counterargument, please, because the tenets of a religion that not many homosexual marriage activists follow isn't going to cut any ice.

"regarded main Christian values of kindness and unconditional love?"
Heh, what does unconditional love have to do with marriage? Likewise, God says to love your nieghbors. And I do, striaght, gay , whatever, and as you point out my preisdent is a Christian, so I'm sure he does. However the Bible also says that HOMOSEXUALLITY IS WRONG. Read the Bible, geez.. plain and simple. That's my Christian arguement.

But as you indirectly say itself, the definition to marriage is the union betwen a MAN and a WOMAN. Not a man and a man, or a woman and woman.

Likewise, compare the American Constitution to the Bible. Tell me if you see any simularities, then stop bitching about American politics. They're ours, not yours.

Great job. I love the thought that you put behind this. This is so true. It is ridiculously unfair that gays are refused equal rights. In the US church and state are "supposed" to be seperate. However, religion is dominating many of our laws... My heart goes out to the people who wish to get married and cannot, because of our great laws. Well done. I will take a look at the web site that you mentioned.

First off this needs to be longer. You bring up a lot of points but you don't go into detail. You've sacrificed integrity for emotional impact in this essay. Gay Marriage is a very controversial issue in this country and everything isn't as black and white as you see it. Perhaps you need to sit down and think about what motivates those who oppose gay marriage for it certainly isn't as simple as ignorance and want of power.

I don't believe in gay marriage. I am not some stupid right-wing Christian, I just think we should draw the line somewhere. I have a lot of very close friends who are gay. No big deal. But you know what? I think the whole concept of marriage altogether is just outdated. My friend Adam, who's gay, said that if he married his boyfriend, he would only be doing it to prove a point to homophobes who think he's not capable of holding down a long-term relationship. You can love someone and be faithful to them without marrying them.
