Don't be alarmed if you just heard a loud cracking sound...that was only my heart breaking. :D

This is SO beautiful. It just...even if I didn't know the inspiration behind it, it would create such a vivid picture for me. Wonderful...I love your writing. You really know how to bring words to life.

For someone who says she's not very good at description you've painted a very clear picture. :-)

It neatly portrays the tragedy of loss, but interestingly through the eyes of the one dying rather than the one losing his/her love to death.

Wow, very impressive. I really like this piece. There is a lot of passion and intense feelings here. You conveyed them nicely. Excellent work. :o)

Wow...
Thank you for sharing this. I know it is hard to let others read things like this, but in the end it is worth it.

*tear tear* That was so beautiful! And incredibly tragic at the same time. You've really outdone yourself on this one.
It was just...BREATHTAKING!
This is definately going on my favorites!

Sadly, hauntingly beautiful, and extremely moving. A wonderful poem. Every detail adds up to that overpowering effect: The repetitions you use (especially the one of "My dear, sweet love"), the concrete details in the description (the adjectives etc.), the contrasts (alone - together, mask - real emotions etc.), the rhyme in that powerful last stanza - simply everything. I love that part about the different tears that flow, those of the speaker in the past, now those of the other person. I can so vividly imagine the compassion and helpless love of the other person. I love every line of this poem, but I think my favourite part is that stunning sentence
"Everything fades as the final memory
Is etched and erased at the same time."
It is so true of crucial moments like the one you describe.

*sigh* So beautiful and so sad. I love the perfect imagery, the descriptions of the slight actions, it really adds to it. Same with the questions. Awesome work, I hope you're fine down there. ^_^ Keep up the greatness!
