Just In
for All Along

Dude! This story is the awesomest cliche thing ever! I'm exaggerating right now, but really. This is one of the best I've read so far :) But please finish it...Or is this the end? No, it can't be the end...can it? Gosh, it's 2am and I won't be able to sleep after this. No matter when you wrote it, or how bad you think your writing is/was, this has been definitely a nice read :) Thank you for giving us Devon, Neely and Chris. Was that seriously the last chapter? As in seriously? I sure hope not! _ please, some of us must be begging you, but please continue this story's life of love. lol. That sounded bad... :))) Great job so far!:D 3

I am way too old to be reading stories about teenagers but I started reading this one out ofmpure curiosity and couldn't stop. It is ally well written. There's another 'falling in love with the brother's best friend' novel that has become a bestseller and I actually think yours is better. This other novel was written by a grown (British) woman about American teenagers and it is actually quite unconvincing whereas your is belieavable (despite Neely and Devon taking so long to admit their feelings to each other). It isn't perfect - there are some problems with setting out speech and the 'hott' is a little irritating, but you have a real talent for writing dialogue and creating well rounded likeable characters.

And don't worry about it being a cliche. Pretty much all romance stories a cliches - it's hard to avoid! What is important is how well written it is. There is a theory that all the stories in the world only actually follow seven basic plots, so considering so many novels have been written as well it is pretty much impossible to avoid cliched plots.

I don't agree with the reviewer about it being sexist. Yes Chris is a sexist pig but isn't that the whole point of this character? And teenage boys ARE sexist and they do call girls horrible names like bitch and whore ( although it does disturb me how often they do it in your story. Are boys really this bad nowadays? I'm guessing some of them are)

Any way good job and keep it up!

Okay, so first off I want to say your story is great.

BUT (and I hope you don't take this the wrong way; I'm not trying to offend you or anything, I'm just saying what I think) It's sort of... Well... There's really no other way to put it... Sexist.

And before you go off at the big word, please think about it for a moment: why is it alright for Chris to go to a party, but not Nelly? Why does Chris get to date whoever he wants, but Nelly has to 'get his permission'? Why does Devon have the right to snap at her for going on an innocent date when he'd been short of having drunk sex just minutes before?

And that, my friend, is why I have stopped reading. I hope you don't just dismiss this and think about my questions for a bit. Women don't have to get permission from their brothers or their fathers to do what they want to do. And I mean this in the most constructive way possible and with the best of intentions: in your story, women are portrayed as supredited to men, and I'm worried about the effects this could have on your readers.

I really hope you think about it.

Aww .. that was really really cute. So far, i really like it, but i'm not so much of a cussing type of person so i'm just trying not to mind the profane words. I don't really like guys who curse either, but that's just part of high school right?

Dear KNE,

This story was one of the first that I read when I joined this site, probably around three years ago (with a different account). I loved it from the beginning and although I loved Devon irrevocably, like you, Chris was probably always my favourite character (it may or may not have had a little to do with the fact that you chose Jensen Ackles to play him, and he's literally my favourite actor, so 'awesome character favourite actor favourite character').

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for writing this authors note as, although I would have loved for you to continue All Along, I think it was extremely nice of you to do, instead of just leaving us all hanging (like a lot of authors on here). It's weird to think that you started writing this at fifteen, and you've practically grown with this story and this website. I'm almost sixteen now, and I've been using this site for a few years, and I have no intention of leaving it any time soon.

It's just nice to hear that you've been in college and you have a job, etc. because as well as creating a more personal level between you and us, it kinda restores my hope? Okay, that sounded stupid. All I mean is that, you started writing this when you were my age, all naive and curious about the future, the way I am. It's just quite reassuring to know that you've lived through the years that I have left, and now your life can actually begin. I mean, I know it happens to all of us, but to know that someone I've looked up to for years is living their life and enjoying it, it kind of gives me hope for the future I guess. Like I'll be where you are someday, which although scares the hell out of me (I'm still only fifteen!), it's still a lovely thought for me to have, the thought that I will get there in the end, and my life will start.

I know what I mean by all of that, I hope you do to! :')

I don't even know if you're going to read this, but I just wanted to thank you - both for writing such an amazing story (with characters like Chris and Devon - WOW!) but also for the author's note, and I guess for being you. Thank for letting us know that you're still okay, and that you want to start writing again, and even that you used this A/N to become more real to us, because not many authors on here do that and, personally, I like knowing that you've been or are at where I am and that you're real. Okay, that definitely sounded stupid, and I'm sorry if I'm going on a bit or if you're just sitting there like "Who even is this girl? Sheesh, shut up already." :')

Okay, I'll end this now with a final farewell and a big thank you, for opening up your mind and putting it on here for us to read and enjoy. I hope you have a wonderful life and get everything that you could want, and never stop writing, considering how much you love it!

Well, I'm sorry to hear that the end of "All Along" may be a long time in coming, but I can't say I don't understand. I'm glad you've gotten back into writing; I know how hectic and impossible life can be. XD I don't know when I started reading this (oh, so long ago!), but I've had four kids (on top of the one I already had), so I know that sometimes the writing - and the reading - just don't get done. ::sad face::

Good luck with your novel. I would love to hear about it sometime! (Perhaps consider NaNoWriMo? They do a summer camp! It really seems to help to just get the words flowing.)

Wishing you all the best!
