Wow, the plot is really building now. I never would have gueesed that Hanna Maddock was the town leaders daughter. But why then, if Hanna is alive to tell her father the truth, did she ever not tell the truth? Did that make sense?
Elliot Maddock, as in related to Hanna? Poor Elliot! I guees that's why he has disappeared then, and why he had acted so... different when Therese was talking about Hanna.

Read it all in one sitting. I have to tell you at first I despised Leton along with Ryann, but now I am deeply despising Hannah. Can't the Duke see how much of a bitch Hannah is?
I also have to compliment you on your writing skills, you incorporate the language of that time very well.
