Killer vine-tentacles on the forest dragon are a neat touch; makes me think of the veggie-type Pokemon dragon. Will Chow Sing Bing have any more environmentally-themed adventures with supernatural wildlife? :)

I really like this story. What a nice change of pace from writings by authors afraid to give their stories happy endings for fear of turning out clicheed. A minor detail, not very important in a tall tale like this, is that there weren't exactly any logging companies in China. Bamboo was just cut by individuals as and when they needed it.But really, spiffy story. ^ ^ Your son did a great job.(The stories I wrote when I was 10 had spontaneously combusting airplanes, and things like that.)
