First, I'd just like to thank you for the review of my story "Songs of Innocence" I rarely get constructive reviews. I have gotten considerably better about the description in my stories and I did catch my spelling/usage mistakes when I reread it, but my that time it was already posted and I was too lazy to make corrections.

It wasn't meant to be based on the bible. I can tell from your profile that you are religious (so if you find this offensive, I'm truly sorry) but I have never thought of God as some dude on a cloud with nothing better to do than smite people. That's my damn Eastern philosophy spreading though my writing again. I've always thought God would be a regular guy...just like the rest of us. Keep in mind, I'm not actually religious. These are just my own personal beliefs that I've acquired though readings of Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism, etc.

Now to your piece: interesting poem. Flows well and I can see the message. Nice spin on the old prayer, but it could use more.
