this piece is thought-provoking on many levels. the date in particular, for me, is both symbolic and symbiotic.
first, i thought of how it was near my birthday, and how i've always dropped down around that day; but then a flash of recognition hit me... i recently realized that my one mentor suddenly died on this day, 4 years ago.
and i thought of how her memorial card sits in my cabinet...
...then now, with one more detail -in my bin of prescription bottles.
oh, why not end this with blinding truth; she was my counselor at the treatment place i dedicated 5 months to, recovering (from downing a whole bottle of "daily" psych pills in one quick gulp) and how did i get to this page today... 9 months later, exactly?

oh so moving. wonderful, just heartbreaking and tragic tale you spin. beautiful images and desscriptions, and such a delicately sad story to it. great stuff.
