I liked this story quite a bit, for one main reason. At first you are assuming that he is going to kill himself because of the first downward spiral, but I like how you twisted that around. It kept me wondering well why is he killing himself? If everything is going so well why do it? Now probably the only complaint I do have is the fact of quickly it ends, although I do like the irony you brought to it with the car crashes. Finally the whole persective of the bullet being fired was a nice touch.
