Why is it that every day there are another few essays on this exact topic, using the exact same arguments and nearly the same phrasing, but none are written by men? Men also worry about their looks, you know. We worry about flabby waists, flabby arms, the works. We also think "Hey, I'm not so bad-looking, if it weren't for..." But why is it that only women whine about it? True, most men, due to their own perceptions prefer the societal ideal of beauty. Personally, I like thin girls - I know, brainwashed by society, whatever. But honestly - how many women look at a slim guy and say "Oh, he's scrawny, I want a hunk of rounded meat!"

Very neat, I like how you related the whole mother-figure thing to this argueent, rather than just simply spouting a hundred already-used arguements. Very nice. No one should hate their bodies though, and there are still men around who like the motherly figure because quite frankly that's what nature wants from a woman. Heh. Anyways, keep up the good work: short concise and well-written. (Oh my, I'm giving out too many compliments today, yours is the last, I must go find my inner cynic again... *laughs*)

A good essay. Well thought out and well written. You bring up an interesting point about things like child-bearing and how they fit into fashion. Once again, very well done. I encourage you to write more in the same vein.
Keep it up.
