I agree wholeheartedly. Valentine's Day is no different from any other day.

Sheesh. Cynical much?

I have but one thing to say:

Love is a four-letter word.

lol! I hear this all the time at my school, except I respect the way that you put it. Some people are just like "it's stupid!" w/out any reason other than their still single.

heh, great job tho, loving it!Elise A. Philps

If Valentines Day is the same as every other day, then I guess that Christmas Day is just one other day. And that Martin Luther King Junior's birthday is just another day, and that ALL of these special days are just more days.

Very true. But there ARE two good things about Valentine's Day...

1) It's a good excuse to give people candy2) It's a good excuse to get candy

It's all about the sugar, yo. ^_~

I LOVE THIS! I totally agree with you (and because of this many people believe me to be crazy... which I am, I can't deny.) What a great essay!~Sarah

"Now that you’ve though over your answers" thought*

Well, people could always handmake a card-that's a lot sweeter than going out and buying one. It takes more work to do so too.

Stupid hallmark holidays.

Amen to that! I never got the point of that holiday. Ever. Ever ever. There shouldn't have to be a special day for that.

awesome, i love it! yes, america and its holiday commercialization!

Well said. In the words of whoever writes the Simpsons "It's just another one of those hallmark holidays, homogonised and sold off, piece...by piece." Anyhoo, well said and keep writing.
