HI! I just wanted to let you know, I was looking on FictionPress one day, and came upon your story, 'His Eyes.' It wasn't on the site anymore, just the summary, but I was interested in it. So I bought it online at a bookstore, and I LOVED it! I started reading it and couldn't put it down. All the main characters were really like-able. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you what a great book it was! ;D

Hi. I just wanted to say that I read your story while it was here, and I had to go and buy it when you got it published. I did, and I gotta say, I still love it. :)

Keep writing, you are great.

Hot damn girl. I'm impressed. Not that I didn't expect to be, because, well, it's published, available on Amazon, at Barnes&Noble, what have you, but it was a really, really good read.

I loved how Amy handled the situation with Tristan and how well portrayed Tristan's struggle was. But even with that said, it was never pushed so far where you just wanted to wallow in pity with Tristan. Obviously, in some parts, like when he tripped at his grad rehearsal, you DO feel bad, but overall, I kind of took sides with Amy. She was usually so optimistic. It rubbed off on me! And don't get me wrong, I LOVED Tristan (sounds like a hottie ;D )! I loved his character and how descriptive his struggle was, even though I'm no blind or disabled in any way, you wrote this story in a way that made me feel like I could relate. The story just flowed all together very well. It was like a journey to me, as a genuine well-written story should be.

Aside from that, the effect His Eyes had on me was, as I mentioned, optimism for Tristan and his future, due to Amy's persistance. I wanted everything to work out for him and I wanted him to cope with the horrible things he'd dealt with, but I very much enjoyed watching him get there. It also made me stop and think about becoming blind and how awful a transition that would be, especially if it just one day happened, and you weren't born with it or anything. It gives you perspective, and, like any good story, I've come away from this story having learned something new and experienced something different.

And, of course, there is the romance. :D I love romance, as any person should! I just loved how Amy so quickly accepted his disability and looked past it and the gradual, yet all the while interesting, attraction they had to each other. I love it when stories aren't rushed in the aspects that shouldn't be rushed (as in love, relationships, romance! You can't get to all that in one chapter!)

So overall, again, congratulations. This has got to be so exciting to have published one of your works! I'm also proud to know that you're a Wisconsinite! ;) Me too! hahaha

It was a really cool experience reading a story that originated here on FP in a published book. The best part? My eyes didn't hurt from staring at a computer screen for 4 hours! :D

I'll be keeping an eye out for any more stories because you've caught my attention. You're very talented! Somebody I can aspire to as a writer myself.

Thanks so much! You rock. v(_

So I JUST came across this story about 5 days ago here on Fiction Press, read the first pages of it on Amazon, got hooked, tracked down the nearest Barnes & Noble, and did the whole pre-order thing. It was sent out October 2nd, and I still don't have it, hahah I'm (not so) patiently waiting. I just wanted to say hi and say I'm really looking forward to reading your book and congratulations on getting published! That's really, really cool. But don't think that just because it's on the book shelves now that I won't come back here and review it, because I will. So, give me a week. :) You'll be hearing from me again. ;D
