"Besides, punk/gangster elves are too good not to write." lol.
All in all, this looks like fun. The characters are engaginf from the get go, and everything seems to be getting off all right (for the story. Not necessarily for Zandi and Deeni). One grammar error that I saw: "I work out well, actually" should be "it works out well."
In conclusion, good start, update soon!
